Whiteboard to Web (content, design and development)

Freedom’s Answer (www.freedomsanswer.net)
I managed and defined the information architecture, content, design and maintenance of a Web site that served as the hub for a national non-profit and non-partisan voter turnout campaign. Freedom's Answer was founded by Mike McCurry, former press secretary to President Clinton, and Doug Bailey, longtime Republican consultant and publisher.

Homepage: The homepage conveys the Freedom’s Answer mission and invites all Americans to get involved.

Freedom’s Answer tour: An interactive tour (flash and HTML versions available) with a contemporary “Schoolhouse Rock” feel. I wrote the tour copy and directed its development.

From a feature article on swing dancing that cinched my first job in Denver,
“Occasionally, when one or two frozen-in-time revelers were admitted to the club’s dark warmth, the irrepressible sound of horns blaring, banjos twanging and a woman’s voice warbling bounced out the door and convinced those in line to wait just five minutes more.” Read the article.
